Fresh vs Frozen Turkeys at Costco

The "fresh" turkeys sold by Costco (and other stores) are turkeys that have never been kept below 26° F ( -3.3 °C).

"Frozen" turkeys are those that have been kept at 0° F (-17.7°C) or below.

Turkeys sold in a defrosted state that previously were kept at 0° F (-17.7°C) or below must be marked as "previously frozen".
