Costco recently shook up its fanbase by introducing the Kirkland Signature Breakfast Sandwich – a $2 rival to Starbucks' beloved Double Smoked Bacon, Egg & Cheddar (cost: $5.79). The resemblance is uncanny, but the question remains: does it match up in taste?

According to one taster,  the visuals match between the Kirkland product and its packaging. However, taste-wise, the experience was mixed. While the bun had an "enjoyable buttery flavor" and the bacon was "smoky and savory," the overall balance was off. The thin, not-so-crispy bacon struggled to shine through, leaving the sandwich tasting mostly like a croissant bun rather than the expected bacon burst.

However, for a mere $2 each (8 for $15.99), the Kirkland version is a tempting deal.
